Part of a major chain, Browns serves the usual modern European fare. Steak frites, pastas and the like. Usually reliable in a Bridget Jonesey, girls-night-out kind of way, standards can be patchy - a chocolate pave was dull and not particularly chocolatey, several wines on the list were out of stock. Service has been known to be rather scatty and not up to the standards that the prices and the St Martin's location demands.
