Cafe Libre is certainly a popular place for weary shoppers on the Carnaby Street/Regent's Street trail. When Londontown.com popped in to visit it was fairly full with the lunch-hour lot enjoying the food from a wide ranging, pub-style menu. With wraps, sandwiches, steaks, and fish and chips, the choice of food is traditional and allows for various appetites. We enjoyed our platter of duck spring-rolls, lamb-kofta kebabs and samosas but the main courses were a little dissapointing - the burger and breaded-fish were both good but the chips they came with were undercooked. Cafe Libre certainly makes a change from limp, coffee-shop sandwiches, so if you need somewhere to deposit the shopping-bags and fill up the energy tanks pop-in, but don't go too far out of your way.
