This huge place on Brick Lane represents everything good about the area. It’s always humming at lunchtime, a friendly, packed madhouse where the waiters somehow remember everyone and the food is both exotic and delicious. This is a great place to go for a taste of the Indian East End; the menu is not particularly adventurous but everything is well done and the atmosphere is uplifting.
