Decent, if not overwhelming, French bistro fare from this long-serving chain is served either inside the pastiche interior or on the terrace of the airy Hay's Galleria. The menu covers the full spectrum from light bites like croque monsieur or Caesar salad to substantial prime rib eye steaks - up to ten ounces. Meat dishes also include a demi poulet - half a roast chicken infused with garlic and thyme and chargrilled - as well as regional specialties like crispy duck confit and Toulouse sausages. There are plenty of Cafe Rouge restaurants throughout London and the UK but this one has the benefit of the pretty Thames-side Galleria to make it stand out.
