Named after a prosperous banking and business district in Southern Tamil Nadu, Chettinad Restaurant in London's West End specialises in Southern Indian food cooked traditionally and authentically. Attractively sleek and neutral, Chettinad is a warm, comfortable restaurant with a contemporary look and feel and invitingly friendly service from experienced and efficient staff. The menu here at Chettinad is based around the famed culinary region of the aforementioned Tamil Nadu, a land bordered by the Arabian sea and the mountainous Western Ghats, resulting in a wide array of produce and flavours particular to the area. Chettinad draws on many specialties of Tamil Nadu, using fresh, flavoursome ingredients to recreate the grain and vegetable heavy dishes as well as the famed masala dosa, doubtless the signature dish of the region.
