Chancery Lane's Cigalon intrigues London's foodies with its staunch refusal to blow its own trumpet. Not that this much talked about restaurant needs to. Following glowing reviews from the capital's most respected food critics, Londoners have flocked to Cigalon to sample its glorious Provencal menu in unpretentious yet chic surroundings. Seated upon circular banquettes under vaulted ceilings, diners enjoy the best of the South East of France and Corsica in dishes rarely seen here in the UK. Combining the earthy flavours of the countryside with lighter coastal dishes, Cigalon's menu provides a surprisingly varied choice, accompanied by delightful wines from the same region. After dining, retire to the Baranis bar where drinks are enjoyed over a game of petanque.
