The charming Organic Café at Clifton Nurseries has all the hallmarks of Carole Bamford's Daylesford company who run it. Cool, airy and light interiors create a calming space where you can enjoy the organic food, made using ingredients largely sourced from their Gloucestershire farm. Clifton Nurseries is the oldest garden centre in London and the Daylesford Café is a welcome addition to the historic spot. Beyond the café is the restored Fern House where you'll find artisan produce - cheeses, chutneys, biscuits and breads - to take away. There are also accessories for the outdoors like old-fashioned watering cans, soaps and gardeners’ hand creams. In spring and summer the outside seating - large enough to accommodate up to 40 people - brings a taste of the country to town.
