Downtown Mayfair is located between two of the most well known shopping streets in London, Savile Row, famous for its bespoke tailors and Regent Street. Its interiors have been inspired by 1940s London, with engraved glasses, warm materials like leather and walnut, antiqued bronze and venetian chandeliers. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes supplemented by a Japanese section. To tell it like it really is, this is, "international hotel chain food for people with money but little discernment" (writes food critic Marina O'Loughlin). But - as with sister restaurants Cipriani (now C London) and Harry's Bar in Venice - you don't come here for the food but to see how many celebrities you can spot.
