Notting Hill favourite E&O has been an unquestionable success story since it first opened in 2001 and still sets the benchmark for Pan-Asian cuisine in London. The slick black interiors and mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisines is perfectly suited to this fashionable part of West London. On the menu dim sum, tempura, sushi and sashimi are mixed with curries (choose from lychee and cherry tomato or sirloin served with szechuan pepper) while specials include chilli tofu, vegetable, prawn or chicken phad thai, and xo scallop and tiger prawn served with pak choi. It's the kind of place you'll be tempted to indulge in a cocktail - you can just imagine Madonna, Stella and Gwyneth indulging in a rose petal martini when they'd come here for girlie get-togethers - and your evening out will certainly start on the right note with a lychee bellini. Aussie restaurateur Will Ricker seems to have a knack of knowing what trendy young things in London are looking for and with E&O, Eight Over Eight and Cicada among his stable, he certainly succeeds in giving them what they want.
