The wine spills as the conversation flows. You’d feel like you were drinking in a bar on a steep hillside in Granada, but you’d be hard pressed to find a Spaniard and outside the beautiful views of the Alhambra are replaced by a busy road.
Nonetheless the lively, friendly atmosphere is accompanied by a selection of mouth-watering tapas: fish, meatballs, artichoke hearts, whitebait and shifty sausages all to an Iberian tune. There’s a lot of variation with the freshly prepared menu changing regularly.
The wines are predominantly from Spain and Portugal but there are a few South Americans in there flying the flag for the New World. Into the bargain there are a number of pleasant sherries that serve well as an aperitif.
