Owned by restauranteur John McClements, also the proprietor of the neighbouring McClements, El Vino is a reliable local serving up decent Spanish tapas with a bit of Greek thrown in. Being a local, it's affordable for a mid-week outing and a notch above the average daily dining experience. Single servings of olives, houmus, halloumi, feta cheese salad and taramasalata are on the menu alongside more adventurous dishes like Iberian Jabugo ham, snails, quail breast and marinated sardines. Whatever level of gastro explorer you are, there's something that will tempt.
