The lovely Fernandez and Wells coffee shop is owned by the same people who run the fine food and wine shop by the same name on Lexington Street just around the corner. Like the adjacent deli, the food here is fresh, well sourced and top quality. The focus is on sweet treats: coffee, croissants, cakes and chocolate. If you're there early in the morning the breakfast (highly recommended) comes complete with black pudding and eggs over easy. It will set you back more than your average bowl of museli but then again you really can't compare the two.
