This restaurant brings the Italian trattoria tradition to the heart of the West End. But this restaurant isn’t rustic in the coarse sense – they’ve taken all the best bits from the time-honoured trattoria – namely the great variation of amply portioned food – and added what was wanting - service and ambience.
The myriad of dishes on offer could leave diners bewildered, but the forthcoming waiting staff are happy to recommend, plus, a read-through can be accompanied by some deliciously crispy, finger-linking bruschetta. The menu demonstrates an inequality towards Tuscany, but we’re big fans of this cuisine, constructing the most deliciously complex flavours from the simplest of ingredients. The delicate veal deserves a mention all of its own.
Of course, you have to finish up with a short, sweet shot of their pungent espresso – the smell is irresistible.
