This small, friendly restaurant serves authentic Swedish cuisine in a comfortable, amusingly decorated setting, and has a large group of faithful regulars. Everything about the place is reassuring; the menu is uninspiring, largely based around cream and potatoes, but each dish has a comforting, filling quality. The kitchen is good and the food, though stodgy, is full of flavour. Garbo’s is a bit like dining with an eccentric but loving family.
