The Tea House within the unashamedly extravagent Gilgamesh restaurant has a wonderfully light feel despite its brown tones thanks to the large glass windows that line the entire length of one wall overlooking the market below. This kind of lavish decor can only be described as over-the-top but this is not a shy and retiring kind of place. Chef Ian Pengelley, formally of E & O in Notting Hill, put every penny into the £23 million refit of this place so it's not only his reputation that's on the line, it's his livelihood too.
