The family friendly Giraffe restaurants really appeal to their target audience: kids. But that doesn't mean adults won't enjoy their bright colours and big portions too. Thankfully they've avoided the temptation to fill the place with long necked stuffed animals; instead the brightly coloured decor is tempered with natural wood and the whole place positively beams with warmth and cheerfulness. Flexible and generous opening hours mean you can drop in for coffee, brunch or cocktails as well as food. The food extends from burgers to freshly squeezed juices and starters like the spicy chicken wings and vegetarian mezze are particularly good options. There's a special menu just for kids too. Your ravenous tots can choose from fried or scrambled eggs, beans, veggie or pork sausages, chicken and fries or mash. They even throw in a juice and some yummy ice cream and only charge you £5.25 for the whole meal. It's very refreshing. But the real winner with our young audience is the white chocolate and crushed Toblerone cheesecake - and not just with the kids. Yum.
