This gastropub works hard to escape from the imposing shadow of Goldfinger's famous Trellick Tower. Owned by prolific and popular restauranteur Tom Etridge, with River Cafe expert Celia Harvey overseeing the food and a suitable supermodelesque crowd, Golborne House has all the ingredients for long term success.
An open plan kitchen signals the foodie orientation of the place, with a roped off area for diners, insulating them from the antics of those carousing at the bar. Starter portions are sizeable and the whole menu pulls in the Spanish and Portugese elements of the local community. Stand out dishes include the tuna and white bean salad with baby chard and marinated chicken breast with cannellini bean puree. Warm and friendly service add the finishing touches to a wonderful West London experience.
