Opened in July 2011 by self-taught Swedish chef Mikael Jonsson, Hedone has quickly established itself on the London dining scene receiving a Michelin star in 2012 and widespread acclaim from national as well as international reviewers. In October 2011 Hedone won the One to Watch award at the National Restaurant Awards and got awarded of its first Michelin star in October 2012. Hedone has an innovative setting with a totally open kitchen that serves to show that the chef has "nothing to hide". The food served by Jonsson is refined, sophisticated yet simple often with unusual flavour combinations but always based on painstakingly sourced ingredients. Hedone offers 4, 5 or a 7-course tasting menu for dinners that changes regularly, 2, 3or 7 course tasting menu for lunches.
