The design of Hush Brasserie opposite St Paul's Cathedral, opened in June 2013, has been overseen by the same architects behind Jamie Barber's original Hush Mayfair which opened 14 years earlier in 1999. The 120-cover modern European restaurant centres on a brass and marble island bar and the dining room is separated into two areas with a light and airy cafe at the front and brassiere at the back so you can pop in for a drink and a snack at the bar or enjoy for a longer meal. The menu is a mix of popular modern dishes like lobster roll, pulled pork, as well as some traditional favourites like Yorkshire pudding with apple and calvados. Still hungry? Try Hush's Mars bar cheesecake for some sweet comfort food. Brunch is a big part of the weekend menu, in particular, with four varieties of eggs benedicts - and slippers, available on request. Now that's what we call comfort. Fans of Hush can also find a Hush Brasserie in Holborn.
