Europe's first ever organic and vegan Japanese restaurant, Itadaki Zen is a trailblazer in the very centre of London. With its name combining Japanese terms for 'taking the food of life' and 'to fix', Itadaki Zen aims for much more than the simple sating of appetites. In the peaceful surroundings of the pale coloured dining room, food is taken for its healing properties as well as its flavour. With a slow food ethic reflected in the care taken over each dish, Itadaki Zen uses traditional, sustainable and authentic, seasonal and organic ingredients with the eventual aim of producing all of its own vegetables. Recurring on the menu are products deemed important in maintaining a strong and healthy metabolism. With an organically produced selection of wines, beers and sake though, Itadaki Zen isn't too angelic.
