Chef and owner of Konstam Cafe, Oliver Rowe, has been serving reasonably priced, healthy dishes here since 2004. So successful, in fact, that he opened a second restaurant two years last just a few doors down (Konstam at the Prince Albert, on the corner of Kings Cross Road and Acton Street, W1). While he claims he's no eco-warrior he makes a point of sourcing seasonal food locally - within the M25 - and it's this environmentally friendly focus that led him to be followed by a BBC team making the 'Urban Chef' (April 2006). There's a real buzz about this maverick chef and, for once, the food lives up to the hype.
