A lively Tex-Mex joint offering lots of tequila fuelled fun just off Tottenham Court Road. La Perla has a buzzy lower floor bar and a busy ground floor restaurant which often attracts a crowd. Flamboyant Mexican decor adorns the walls and an extensive array of tequila bottles glint naughtily behind the bar. Expect standard Tex-Mex fare like quesadillas, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos along with a few lighter salads for the calorie counters. With other branches in Covent Garden, Paris and Sydney they proudly claim to have served "over 8 million margaritas since 1976." That's no mean feat. This may not be the most authentic Mexican food in town but the bargain happy hour cocktails will more than make up for it. Margaritas, pina coladas and daiquiris all come in under ?4 daily between 5-7pm.La Perla images
