La Piragua is revered by Islington locals for excellent steaks, great prices and friendly, personal service. The menu is classic and simple, featuring dishes from around the continent like Sancocho ? chicken, cassava and plantain broth with avocado, or Cazuela de mariscos, seafood stew. The steaks stand out but all the cooking is not only authentic and homely, but also delicious and sourced from the freshest ingredients. They make every effort here to meet your needs and make you feel comfortable, and with excellent service and great food at cheap prices, La Piragua is the complete dining experience.
