Le Colombier looks like a pub from the outside, and indeed it has a collection of regular drinking customers, but the food is not pub grub. For some reason the kitchen produces absolutely superb French cooking, larded with Foie Gras, snails, wonderful fish, hearty casseroles and a host of traditional French delights. The set menus mean that an excellent meal here can be had for very little - this is a seriously class act.
