When Leon first threw open its doors in Carnaby Street a few years ago workers of London rejoiced - well, the glamorous girls who work in fashion did anyway. "At last", they cried, "a lunchtime haunt where we can get food on the go and not worry about getting into our designer jeans the next day." It's true - lunches at Leon are practically overflowing with freshness and nutrients, you can definitely guarantee a power (or is it super?) veg or two and it's all about the good kinds of fats and sugars. Plus they're yummy - as you tuck into a salad that's omega-rich or contains not just one but all of your portions of fruit and veg you just won't believe it's that healthy. It's open for breakfast - all the usual organic suspects but with tempting yet wholesome bacon sarnies - and dinner too with mezze-style delights. Leon in Spitalfields Market is an expansion of its empire to cater for the hoards of city suits - not sure if they lust after a Tuk Tuk salad in quite the same way as the fashion types but it's fast food at its finest, which makes it a sure success.
