Visitor Information
This South-East London Turkish grill restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside but the hearty dishes inside are well worth the trip to Lewisham. Don't let Meze Mangal's scruffy exterior put you off, this diamond in the rough is popular with local and Turkish diners and often fills up quickly on weekends. The traditional Turkish ocakbasi grill churns out good quality lamb sis and the crisped pide (Turkish pizzas) are cooked to perfection in the brick oven. Try not to fill up too much on the tasty fresh salads, hummus and warm breads as the main meals are very generous. Wash it all down with a bottle of reasonably priced Turkish wine. The friendly staff and the low prices will certainly leave you smiling.
