With two restaurant successes already under their belts with The Real Greek and Livebait Theodore Kyriakou ("the guru of Greek food" - The Independent) and Paloma Campbell have now turned to all-day dining with More restaurant, near the More London development in Southwark. "Small but perfectly formed", according to the Evening Standard, it offers "the kind of food you often feel like eating but that's not so easy to find in restaurants." The all-day slant isn't all that easy to find either. But More manages to deliver with a morning to night menu overseen by a third business partner, Beatrice Ferrante, who heads up the kitchen. You can eat here from 8am, breakfasting on a nutella and banana sandwich. Welsh rarebit with bacon makes a hearty brunch, while mains like steamed clams, peas and bacon with Caesar dressing on toast with watercress, or polenta with pancetta, gorgonzola and sage are ideal for lunch. They also do takeaway, from an excellent Monmouth coffee, served through an open hatch, to lamb kebab in pitta bread or roast pork sandwich - and they'll even lend you a pot in which to heat your takeaway. An indulgent afternoon tea wouldn't be complete without a chocolate, cherry and Amaretti tart with creme fraiche. While we can see More becoming a great success we just hope it doesn't turn into another case of The Real Greek - where a winning formula becomes too formulaic.
