Nice, noisy place serving a mixture of Spanish and North African cuisine. A superb, convivial restaurant with a great reputation based on its best-selling cook book – which makes reserving a table in advance a sensible suggestion. The menu created by husband and wife team Sam and Sam Clark who met while working at the River Cafe is constantly changing and owes a lot to North African cuisine as well as Iberian fare. There’s usually delicious tajine and paella among the mains and one constant is the desserts – try the Seville oranges in summer and the pistachio cake. Though expensive, it’s a great restaurant with friendly service, fantastic food and a bubbly atmosphere. Perhaps not ideal for dating due to the decibels, but highly recommended nonetheless.
