One Canada Square, the glamourous restaurant and cocktail bar in the lobby of the towering 800 foot high One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, is the brainchild of Tom and Ed Martin of the award-winning ETM Group, the group who brought us top quality pubs and restaurants like The Botanist in Chelsea and The Gun in the Docklands. With £2 million spent on interiors by renowned architects David Collins Studio, One Canada Square is a stylish place well suited to the City businessmen is serves with a mezzanine bar high above the ground floor 100-cover restaurant and cafe bar, available for private parties and private dining from Monday to Saturday. Jamie Dobbin, the Geordie former head chef at the Ivy Club, oversees a menu which includes a raw section with cured fish, molluscs and steak tartare. With so many bankers in the area it's no surprise that beef features strongly - steaks dry aged for 45 days are among the mains - "but the menu's real success is its seafood dishes, making the most of its location a stone's throw from Billingsgate Fish Market" (according to Martin Newman writing in the Mirror).
