The rather uninviting pub downstairs shouldn't put you off this mini-oriental gem. In the sea of expense that is Knightsbridge this is a great island of cheap tasty food.
You share one of the imposing teak tables with whoever else is their (a la Wagamama) and there's a large stainless steel clad open kitchen. You'd think it would give it a bustly air, but its pint-size dimensions and the calming pistachio interior - complemented by two giant, attention-warranting jar-shape aquariums - give the place a soothing, out-of-the-way feel.
The menu takes a quite adventurous gap year trip through south-east Asia - linking up Thai, Japanese and Malay cuisine. The prices are reasonable, and once you've noticed you're in the middle of Knightsbridge extremely reasonable.
