Timothy d'Offay is a tea connoisseur. The leaves he brews and sells at Postcard Teas are the result of ten years spent tasting and investigating tea plantations in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, India, and Sri Lanka. He has certainly done his research. His passion turned into a business back in 2000 when he and Alex Fraser started to sell specialist green and oolong teas imported direct from tea producers and experts in east Asia at Borough Market. Now, with this tea shop, he brings some of the world's best black teas from the north east of India and the south of Sri Lanka to Britain. Goomtee in the Himalayas, for example, is one of the friendly, family-run estates he works with, well known for its fine Darjeeling tea. If your daily cuppa goes beyond PG Tips, you'll love this place. Alongside the green and black tea types, you can sup a cup of Oolong tea - somewhere between the two. Or try the Coffee Blossom Tea - the world's first Coffee Tea - made from the scented white coffee blossoms. Yes, there's caffeine in it, but feeding your addiction won't be the only reason you'll keep coming back to this charming tea house.Postcard Teas images
