This Milanese bakery from Rocco Princi brings bread to a whole new chic level. Who would have thought flour, water and yeast could be so sexy? With backing from Alan Yau (the man who brought us stylish eateries Hakkasan, Yauatcha and more recently Cha Cha Moon) this place has friends in high places and an interior design to match. Bread which is freshly baked - even on Sundays - is presented in neat, glass-fronted rows ranging from organic wholemeal stone-ground to olive oil enriched focacia. The lunch menu extends to pizzas, cheeses, charcuterie, pasta and meat dishes. You choose what you'd like from the counter and take your tray of food into the dining room where you can sit canteen-style at the shared tables.
