Something of a Soho institution, Randall & Aubin is perennially buzzing. In summer the windows open out onto Brewer Street and the freshly iced seafood tempts passers by to stop and look. These fruits de mer, lobster and oysters are a speciality - and very good they are too - shell fish somehow seem to lend themselves perfectly to a glass of chilled champagne. Given its popularity and noisy atmosphere it manages to be both comfortable and convivial. Lunchtimes are especially busy but don't be put off, it's worth joining the queue - order a bottle of wine while you wait, you'll soon find out why everyone else is happy to give the excellent waiters twenty minutes to find a table for them.Opening and closing times for Randall & Aubin
