This canal side bar and restaurant is a pleasant place to stop off if you're wondering around the Kings Place development. Not exactly on the beaten track, the most likely reason you'll find yourself in this shiny office block is either visiting The Guardian offices or attending a concert at the state of the art hall. Still, whatever the reason, the waterside setting makes this a pleasant and calming place to refuel. The food is overseen by John Nugent who, with close to 20 years of experience at Searcy's - the people behind the catering at nearby St Pancras - knows what he's doing. British dishes are the flavours to expect; the Northumberland beef and lamb coming from a farm owned by the company and hung in the purpose-built room on the premises.
