If you know what you want from a meal and what you want is good old, British sausages and mash then look no further than this Smithfield joint, close to the famous meat market. Dedicated to this most soothing and filling of dishes the restaurant offers 20 varieties of meat and vegetarian sausages and four types of mash, with three different gravies to drown it all in. Simplicity is key to the décor as well as the menu. Despite feeling more like a café than a restaurant, it still offers all the major benefits of a restaurant – it’s open late and is licensed. For comfort food in comfortable surroundings a bit of S & M could be just the ticket.
