Prices are starting to creep up at this vegetarian south Indian restaurant as its fame spreads beyond the local Tamil community. Still, it continues to offer truly outstanding vegetarian cuisine at prices slightly below those of a bog-standard curry house. It's mostly South Indian food, which means puffy idlis, filling dosa and the delicious hot-and-cold crunch of bhel puri. The food is lightly-spiced by South Indian standards, so you can feel pretty safe ordering the thali. Alternatively, branch out into some of the more obscure areas of the menu and experiment with the oddities of Karnatakan cuisine.
