Tucked away in the St James's Hotel, the tiny 26-cover Seven Park Place restaurant is a triumph of modern European cooking. The restaurant is run by Michelin-starred executive chef William Drabble, who worked previously at Fulham's Aubergine for a decade after succeeding one certain Gordon Ramsay. The new menu features seasonal British ingredients in beautifully presented modern French dishes. Serving these seasonal and skilful dishes in a stylish and intimate setting, Seven Park Place has been praised by the critics since taking over the space occupied by Andaman. The Times' Giles Coran said he "loved everything" about Drabble's establishment, giving it a whopping nine out of ten. "This is a grown-up, serious restaurant for people who eat out a lot and want a treat, who can afford it, and won't be intimidated by its elegance," he wrote.
