The crowds that pack Silom Village's long wooden tables every evening are a tribute to a simple concept performed with flair. Essentially, this is a Thai tribute to Wagamama's with the same blend of simple decor, long menu and fast, cheap stir fries, soups and snacks. A mixed plate of starters was unremarkable, but impressively free from the greasiness that often infects cheap oriental food. Green curry was missing a coupe of authentic ingredients, but had fresh, well-balanced flavours, while the seafood noodle soup was excellent, rich, complex, and full of powerful flavours. It's not quite as healthy as its Japanese counterpart, and the ingredients aren't always of the highest quality, but with prices pitched around McDonalds levels, and a cheery, bustling atmosphere, there can be few complaints.
