There are three restaurants in the madly trendy Sketch complex (as well as an art gallery, tea room, patisserie, two bars, and a magical land of talking animals and witches... probably...) and this is undoubtedly the best of them. It is also the reason why Sketch has a reputation for being madly overpriced, but if you want your food to be served in a Luc Besson fantasy-world populated by only the thinnest and most extravagantly fashion-concious people in London then you have to expect to pay a few quid for it. The food, as you would expect, is as close to art as the ingredients will allow, but if you can bear to break up the elaborate sculptures on your plates, you'll find that unusual, innovative and often inspired combinations of flavours lurk within. A dining experience rather than a restaurant, and guaranteed to provide an anecdote or two, as well as a good meal.
