The atmospheric Skinkers on London's Tooley Street is one of the acclaimed Davy's chain of wine bars and restaurants. Located right next to the London Dungeon, close to London Bridge tube station, this cosy spot, which is set within three railway arches, is ideal for a relaxing lunch or dinner with a real British flavour and is therefore very popular with visitors to the city as well as with locals from nearby offices. The menu here at Skinkers, named after the drawer of wine from its cask, is entirely British, featuring a number of old favourite dishes. Open from the early hours Skinkers serves an excellent breakfast and then large meals, sharing platters and snacks throughout the day, all made using the freshest possible seasonal ingredients. Of course the real Skinkers selling point is the wine list, selected from the best the world of grapes has to offer, including bottles from the old and new world alike with a special focus on clarets and burgundies.
