Since Smollensky's on the Strand opened back in 1986 the American bar and grill has earned a reputation for family dining. At this Canary Wharf outpost the cocktails and steaks come to the fore, catering for the office workers in the surrounding skyscrapers. The modern American menu includes favourites like blackened shrimp for starters and mains of burgers, pan-roasted salmon as well as steaks. Dishes like chicken skewers with a soy bean sauce, Cajun jambalaya and corn-fed chicken wrapped in bacon feature for those with more adventurous tastes too.
