Extending its reach over the West London suburbs, the Ma Cuisine Group, owned by John McClement, opened its first tapas restaurant in Twickenham where the original Ma Cuisine restaurant opened in 2003. With further Ma Cuisines in Kew and Barnes, the group has made a name for itself serving traditional French bistro food with the emphasis on simplicity. Now, with two tapas restaurants - the second is in Kew - the menu extends to the whole of the Med. Bite sized portions of rabbit and squid Provencal, Monkfish 'cheeks' served with capers and butter sauce and Iberico sausages are among the speciality tapas to choose from. There's an inexpensive and decent wine list to go with the food available by the glass and with a strong choice of Spanish reds.
