Visitor Information
Chintz and char have been forever traditionally linked, just like, well, just like tea and biscuits. However, times they are a changin'. This uber modern cafe (a teapod nonetheless) in olde worlde Shad Thames has ditched frilly doylies, starched tableclothes and floral cosies in favour of uber modern fixtures and fittings. Bright, boldly-coloured benches, smooth laminate flooring and spotlights create a sleek environment for supping tea from shiny Bee House shaped teapots. Teapod timers are also on hand to guide drinkers into exactly how long to leave for the optimum brewing process. Food is also served, while afternoon tea is available to eat in or takeaway as a picnic.
A refreshing alternative to the traditional tea shop.
