Clapham locals flock to this excellent gastropub on the weekends, when it's advisable to book a table. They come for the food and also because the Abbeville carries excellent local beers. The half-modern, half-traditional interior is also pleasantly comfortable and the staff friendly. The cooking is simple but elegant. The best items are locally sourced fish and meat grills, which have great smoky flavours and come with properly cooked and buttered vegetables. This is a great spot for a tasty, filling lunch.
