This cheery and uncomplicated US-style Diner sensibly keeps the formula just the same, with a short menu of smoky and protein-rich American favourites, and a dining room that emphasises comfort and informality. It's not quite as gut-bustingly calorific as its immediate rival Bodeans, but this is definitely not a place for anyone with ambitions to be size zero. Burgers, chillies, burritos and tacos are the staple diet, presented with an enthusiasm and charm that is all American - though the occasionally slowness of the service is less authentic. The cooking is impressively consistent (and there are dozens of miserable Tex-Mex joints in London that testify how tricky this apparently simple formula can be), and the prices very reasonable too for this part of town. All-American breakfast - think blueberry pancakes or eggs on muffin with hash browns washed down with a bottomless coffee - is served till 4pm daily.
