Islington residents are already spoiled for choice in terms of good restaurants, but this recently opened three-storey pleasure palace is a real treat even by local standards and deserves to be a huge success. The friendly local proprietors have been involved in the fish trade for years, and the array of beautifully fresh seafood available here is astounding. The recipes range from traditional favourites to much more adventurous treatments but standards are very high. The mussels and other shellfish are particularly good, and the range of real ales and excellent wines available to accompany the meal is impressive. From the first opening this place has been humming with the goodwill of satisfied customers, every table practically purring with enjoyment.
