A local for those who enjoy a fine ale, glass of wine, fresh seasonal British food, delicious company, and of course the arts. With the most excellent Giant Olive Theatre running nightly productions upstairs (http://www.giantolive.com/) this is perfect for a cultured night out.
If it's sunny start with a fine glass of wine (chosen by our very own MW) or a fine jug of ale (chosen by our very own SM...that's Shane's initials btw..) schmooze past the open fireplace into the dining room at the back and into the wood panelled garden, perfect for an alfresco evening of fresh seasonal British food. But for the focused pub goer the front of the bar is home to up to five real ales, a good selection of imported lagers and craft beers, a Sunday night quiz, some sky sport on TV, the front garden from which to watch the world go by and the bonhomie of a pub you'll have to hear about on the grapevine..a well kept local secret.
This pub will be as delicious in winter as it is in the summer.
