The popularity of tapas restaurants has seen numerous pretenders crop up throughout London, Balham is lucky enough though to have The Lounge Spanish Tapas Bar, an utterly authentic dining room filled with Spanish flavour. Since 2002 owners Phillipe and Manuela have provided locals with dining experiences to remember, transporting them to sunny Mediterranean villages with their friendly, warm service and delicious home cooked food. While Manuela expertly oversees the ambience and service of The Lounge, Phillipe takes charge in the kitchen, drawing on his knowledge of and passion for Spanish food. Time honoured techniques are put to good use, traditional recipes drawn on and fresh, carefully sourced ingredients used to create The Lounge's trademark tapas, possibly the most authentic in South West London. Take your time, enjoy food and wine as it should be enjoyed and bring your friends, after all, tapas is all about sharing and The Lounge Spanish Tapas Bar is all about tapas.
