A country pub within the city, The Telegraph in Putney Heath boasts classic pub food and a huge beer garden. Dating back to 1856, it still retains much of its traditional charm while also offering a modern approach to dining. Surrounded by the greenery of the Heath, it's tucked away from all roads and allows guests the option to get away from the city hustle and bustle, whether dining in the cosy pub in the winter or sipping on a pint in the garden in the summer. Items on the menu include ale battered cod with chips and mushy peas; hickory pork sausage with spring onion mash and onion gravy; prawn and chorizo linguine; and Mediterranean vegetable ragu with gnocchi and fresh basil. There's also an extensive wine list and eight real ales on tap.
