Scandinavian-inspired gastropub on the bank of a beautiful canal in Maida Vale, very popular with locals for drinks but also serving excellent food. The Scandy style goes beyond clean, crisp design and a nice wooden terrace - in the kitchen, Tobias Jilsmark has worked out a short but exceptionally tasty menu of typical Swedish classics. The food is so good, we've decided to highlight this place as a Scandinavian Restaurant, because their aren't many in town, but be warned, on nice days it gets rammed with good looking, rowdy youths!
The menu ranges from lite bites like foccacia and salad to heavier chicken casseroles and the like, all prepared with a good eye for detail and spanking ingredients.
A very nice place, indeed, with great food and a pleasantly debauched atmosphere.
